House Rules

House Rules and Site Regulations for KLANGLICHT IM PARK

1. Preamble and Scope

These House Rules and Site Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the “House Rules”, govern the use of the event site for visits to KLANGLICHT IM PARK.

KLANGLICHT IM PARK is a walk-through light and sound experience in an outdoor and park setting. These House Rules apply to the entire event site, in particular to all areas accessible with a ticket or accreditation, entrances and exits, paths, waiting areas, installations, technical facilities, visitor areas and any catering and service areas.

These House Rules apply to all visitors, accredited persons, service providers and any other persons entering the event site. Emergency services, representatives of authorities and other persons acting in an official capacity are exempt from these House Rules to the extent necessary for the performance of their duties.

By purchasing a ticket, and at the latest by entering the event site, visitors agree to these House Rules.

2. Admission, Tickets and Timeslots

Admission to the event site is permitted only with a valid ticket, a valid timeslot ticket or a valid accreditation.

The event site may only be entered and exited through the marked entrances and exits. Tickets and accreditations must be shown upon entering the event site without being asked and must be handed over for inspection upon request by security and stewarding staff, staff of the Organiser or the police.

Admission is generally only possible within the booked timeslot. Visitors are asked to arrive in good time for their booked admission window. In the event of late arrival, there is no entitlement to priority admission, admission during a later timeslot, refund, exchange or any other compensation. Subject to capacity and the safety situation, the Organiser may allow late-arriving visitors to enter at a later time.

An official photo ID must be presented upon request, in particular in the case of personalised tickets, discounted tickets, accreditations or for security-related reasons.

For organisational, technical, weather-related or security-related reasons, the Organiser is entitled to delay admission, manage visitor flows, adjust timeslots or temporarily suspend admission.

3. Conduct on the Event Site

All persons entering the event site must behave in such a way that no other person is harmed, endangered, obstructed or disturbed beyond what is unavoidable under the circumstances.

The instructions of the Organiser, security and stewarding staff, the police, fire brigade, rescue services and other authorised persons must be followed. This also applies to instructions given via public address systems, signage, digital notices or other information systems.

After the end of opening hours, after the end of the relevant operating period or upon request by the Organiser or security and stewarding staff, the event site must be left immediately.

Driving and parking vehicles within the event site is permitted only with the express approval of the Organiser and only on the designated access routes, paths and areas. This also applies to bicycles, e-scooters, other vehicles and delivery traffic.

Children and young people may enter the event site only in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Youth Protection Act. Responsibility for supervising children and young people lies with the accompanying adults.

4. Security and Admission Checks

The Organiser and the appointed security and stewarding staff are entitled to carry out ticket, accreditation, bag and security checks at admission and during visitors’ stay on the event site.

Security and stewarding staff are entitled, including by using technical aids, to check whether persons pose a security risk due to alcohol or drug consumption, their behaviour or the carrying of prohibited, dangerous or flammable items.

With the consent of the persons concerned, clothing, bags, rucksacks and other containers brought onto the site may be checked. Persons who pose a security risk, carry prohibited items or refuse to undergo checks may be refused admission or prohibited from remaining on the event site.

In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund or any other compensation.

5. Behaviour on the Grounds

Visitors must remain on the marked paths and within the designated visitor areas and must observe barriers, signs and safety distances. Leaving the designated paths and visitor areas is prohibited unless expressly permitted by the Organiser.

All entrances and exits, emergency exits, escape and rescue routes, access roads and technical and operational access points must be kept clear at all times.

It is prohibited to enter, climb on, climb over, alter, damage or otherwise interfere with areas not open to visitors, functional areas, technical areas, service areas, green spaces, barriers, structures, fences, walls, trees, roofs, installations, technical equipment or other facilities.

Light, sound, art, technical, decorative and safety elements must not be touched, entered, moved, manipulated, damaged or impaired in their function. Barriers and safety distances must be strictly observed.

Waste, packaging and empty containers must be disposed of only in the waste bins provided. Writing on, painting, sticking items to or soiling structures, paths, facilities, trees, installations or any other parts of the event site is prohibited.

In the event of danger, fire or evacuation, the instructions of the Organiser, security and stewarding staff, the police, fire brigade and rescue services must be followed immediately.

6. Weather, Winter Operation and Park Grounds

KLANGLICHT IM PARK is an outdoor event held in a park setting during the autumn and winter season.

Visitors must expect seasonal and natural conditions, in particular cold, wet conditions, rain, snow, slush, ice, slippery surfaces, freezing rain, fog, wind, storms, leaves, darkness, restricted visibility, uneven paths and slopes.

The wearing of suitable, non-slip, weatherproof and winter-appropriate footwear and appropriate clothing is expressly recommended.

The Organiser endeavours to keep the paths and areas open to visitors safe within the limits of the local conditions and what is reasonable. Nevertheless, weather-related and natural risks such as slipping hazards, icy surfaces, wet conditions, leaves, uneven ground, slopes or restricted visibility cannot be completely ruled out.

For safety, weather-related, organisational or operational reasons, the Organiser is entitled to close individual paths, areas, stations or installations, redirect visitor flows, delay admission, restrict or interrupt operations, or clear the event site in whole or in part.

The relevant instructions must be followed immediately.

7. Accessibility and Assistance

The route is being prepared so that no stairs have to be used. However, as this is a historic park, individual slopes may form part of the route.

Assistance may be provided on site if required. Visitors who have questions regarding accessibility, the use of wheelchairs, walkers or prams, or possible support services are asked to contact the Organiser in advance at: ticket@klanglichtimpark.at.

Actual use of individual paths or areas may be restricted due to weather conditions, in particular snow, ice, slippery surfaces, heavy rain or other safety risks.

The use of professional photo, video or audio recording equipment, in particular cameras with interchangeable lenses, larger camera setups, tripods, drones, additional lighting or other recording devices, requires the prior written consent of the Organiser.

Recordings for commercial, advertising, editorial or any other purposes that are not purely private are permitted only with the prior written consent of the Organiser.

It is prohibited to commercially exploit, publicly transmit, stream, broadcast or otherwise use image, audio or video material of the programme, installations or event site, in whole or in part, without the consent of the Organiser, or to support third parties in such activities.

In the event of suspected unauthorised or commercial use of image, audio or video recordings, the Organiser may require that the relevant recordings be deleted, insofar as this is legally permissible, and that the equipment used be removed from the event site. Persons who fail to comply with such instructions may be removed from the event site.

If video surveillance is used on the event site, it will be carried out exclusively in accordance with the statutory provisions and will be appropriately indicated. Further information can be found in the Organiser’s privacy policy.

10. Catering, Food and Drinks

Food and drinks may be consumed only in the areas designated for this purpose.

Bringing alcoholic beverages onto the event site is not permitted. Alcoholic beverages are served exclusively in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Persons who are heavily intoxicated or who pose a security risk or disturb other visitors due to alcohol or drug consumption may be refused admission or prohibited from remaining on the event site.

Glass bottles, glasses, cans, thermos flasks and other hard, breakable or splintering containers may not be brought onto the event site.

11. Removal from the Site and Site Ban

Persons who violate these House Rules, the General Terms and Conditions, official orders, statutory provisions or the instructions of the Organiser, security and stewarding staff, the police, fire brigade or rescue services may be removed from the event site.

The Organiser is entitled to issue a house and site ban to persons for the duration of the event or beyond, where this is necessary for safety, order or other objectively justified reasons.

In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund of the ticket price or to any other compensation.

The Organiser reserves the right to assert further claims, in particular claims for damages.

Violations of the duties of action and omission imposed on event participants for the operation and use of the event venue may be punishable under the applicable statutory provisions, in particular under event law regulations.

12. Liability

Every person entering the event site acknowledges that they are entering an outdoor and park setting and that the visit may involve natural, weather-related and site-specific risks.

Visitors must in particular expect darkness, restricted visibility, cold, wet conditions, rain, snow, slush, ice, slippery surfaces, freezing rain, fog, wind, leaves, uneven paths, slopes, natural obstacles and other seasonal conditions.

To the extent legally permissible, the Organiser shall not be liable for damage caused by visitors’ carelessness, unsuitable clothing or footwear, failure to observe barriers, signage, instructions or these House Rules, unauthorised leaving of the approved paths and areas, or natural or weather-related events.

The Organiser shall be liable for damage only in accordance with the statutory provisions. To the extent legally permissible, the Organiser’s liability is limited to intent and gross negligence. This limitation of liability does not apply to personal injuries attributable to the Organiser in relation to consumers, nor to other mandatory statutory liability provisions.

All accidents, damage or hazardous areas must be reported immediately to security and stewarding staff or to staff of the Organiser.

13. Final Provisions

Austrian law shall apply.
